We knitters like to photograph our creations for lots of reasons; to share on blogs, to keep a record and of course to self-publish patterns. Photographing garments is tricky as the techniques involved fall somewhere between fashion, product and portrait photography. Blog: February is for finishing

Well that’s the theory.

The first of my new year’s knit resolutions – stop buying yarn – is going very well! I have in fact managed not to buy any yarn at all in 2009. It has not been easy, I have frequently been torturing myself window shopping online (damn those Colinette specials, and discontinued Rowan 4 Ply Soft that will soon be gone forever). But, so far I have resisted and I’m even enjoying the challenge of using up the really very nice stash I have got. Read full post…
